Setsuna

It's a myth...
A forbidden fantasy...
Something which is too good to be true...
Yet, it is imaginable...
It seems promising...

IT'S A JAPANESE WORD WHICH MEANS A MOMENT OR AN INSTANT.

Why it comes to my concern?

Simply because it somehow related to beneficial kinds of thoughts that appear to be brilliant at first in a split second and later vanishes into thin air as soon as we realize it to be quite impossible. That's the Setsuna Effect!

We can grasp a mental image of Setsuna by remembering remarkable visual and technologically infused creations such as Tron Legacy and The Matrix. Both of those fascinating works portrayed a futuristic views of digital life... Life which is extraordinary! Life which is beyond normal... The kind of life that we look forward to sooner or later in the future... Will it be possible? Who knows...

The idea of Setsuna first came through my mind while reading a Japanese manga entitled "Majin Tantei Nogami Neuro." Somewhere within that twisted story, it focuses on a minor character with a huge ambition. Sounds weird but this is the interesting part. This particular character is a mad scientist blessed with impressive knowledge and skills in handling technological stuff etc. Nerds will bow to his awesomeness! LOL! Okay, with that in mind, we moved on to learn eventually that he used his abilities to create a parallel universe and slip within it in order to become immortal! Sounds quite typical... But no... His real intention is quite noble as what he really wants to do is to be with his beloved (which he failed to saved, due to her incurable sickness). Awhhh sweet. :)

Setsuna is a parallel universe which he created using binary codes of a computer (the number 0 and 1), mixed with unexplainable sorts of metaphysical madness that abnormally allows him to reformat his and her life back into that digital world. It is mindfucking twisted but the idea is quite plausible. It also shows that a man will go to perform any necessary actions within his capabilities just to fight for the rights to be together with his beloved! That's a symbol of true love yo!

Setsuna is the slip between the number 0 and 1. It might be similar to this: 0.000000000000000000001!
It is never ending. They are digitally made by numbers and as long as the number wouldn't change between 0 and 1, forever they will remain together. Not even death will tear them apart. (THIS IS ALL FICTIONAL!)

So, that is my inspiration in creating this poem.

Mesmerized

Feeling astound

I'm frozen under the spotlight of Heaven

In the eye of storm I lay benign

For Fate put me in this position

This is a point of no return

Discarded from Paradise

To suffer in this cold sphere

These dark hands grow lengthy just to reach me

So let it be...

Chained to heavy responsibilities

Equipped with slightly imperfect tools

Limited to certain capabilities

Restricted by a handful of rules

A product of pleasure

Born only to suffer

Redemption is worthwhile

As refutation is futile

The robes of death nearly covering you

Beg for mercy, will thou?

Rise upon the pinnacle of success

Only to find loneliness

Sending signal of distress

To whom will you confess?

Gather fragment of past memories

Stitching up those rotten wounds

Figure out your own enigmas

Time to solve these cases

Look into the mirror honestly

Is it really yourself that you see?

Dive into reality

Embrace the gift of Your Majesty

Plot your path discreetly

Discover happiness within misery

Slip in between Setsuna

The promising vision of this era

Fit into the infinite point of perfect one and zero

Similar to The Matrix but without Neo.
